It is a great M10 Model. aside from the 704th markings it could be a BOB M-10 from any unit. a confederate flag could be found on any vehicle in any US unit at that time.
Many units had sections originating in the National guard from southern states. I'd cover the unit markings with mud...
I have and enjoy some superb First Legion figures from many periods of history. However, I think making a model of a 704th Tank Destroyer M-10 is
a little odd. I agree, it's not too hard to find out what equipment the 704th used. And I think it was primarily, if not completely, equipped with...
Received my M18, and very surprised I missed this in the pics on this forum.
the musette bags and satchels hung on the turret sides have the shoulder straps replicated and bunched over and behind the bags. That's a very small but interesting detail.
The binocular cases in the racks are painted...
These are all wonderful new figures! I like the horse holder mounted holding three horses.
I can have a nice simple set of those and three dismounted troopers.
I have only had one complaint with JJD on all his horse equipped figure sets. Many of his horses are painted with a full light tan...
I received my Battle of the bulge Panther. I have been avoiding the bait of so MANY German tanks from all the makers.
but this one was the paint scheme, and stage in the war I'm most interested in.
The model is excellent, and all the small bits attach very well.
The only crew I has fit ok, but...
Did see photos. decided it was the best image there was. to modify carbine was a bit too much and adds to cost I'm sure.
the cup could be construed as buried under overcoat and partially hidden I guess.
When I order the Union Cavalryman, I will have them make some changes before painting.
I am...
Romeo Models
the things that are not perfect are:
1. the canteen cup on saddle looks like a slug of metal,
2. the carbine is in a carbine boot much like those used during the late 1870's and 1880's
not Civil War, although maybe an enterprising leather-smith made something like this with...
I guess it was aligned to aim parallel to the ground, when the trailing arm spades are sunk into the earth (or the modelers diorama).
Might have been better for this type of model to allow a small amount of elevation movement.
Yes, that is a very well executed M10.
Just the right amount of stowage, (they piled tanks high with gear and supplies as the US tanks could go far
and range wide due to reliability and speed).
I have received another figure from Attica.
When I can, as a reward for hard work or some big accomplishment I commission an Attica figure.
This time I received the mounted Colonel George Armstrong Custer in 1876.
The usual Attica attention to detail and artistic finesse. I'm so very happy...
I have purchased MANY figures from AeroArt.
they have a fitted foam lined box custom sized for the figure, which is also in soft tissue.
this box is impact protected inside a larger box with extra protection.
And they ship priority, so less time in danger zone.
I have never received a soldier...
Absolutely. The officers very often brought their own weapons into the field.
Custer had two English short barreled Webley "Bulldog" type revolvers he had when he died.
and he had a Remington 50 caliber rolling block sporting rifle as well.
Officers could carry any weapon they wanted, and the...
The US Soldier in the west was a low budget affair, with a penny pinching Federal government,
and then the less than formal training for new recruits allowed for a more than usual amount of outward appearance individuality.
as well as Officers who didn't care, or weren't diligent about uniform...
There are things I like with the figures and things I do not.
So, I'm on the fence as to whether or not i will get them.
the likes:
They have the correct belts, and leather gear.
their Springfield carbines are relatively accurate.
They have reasonably good period correct coats.
Yes, they did...
Here is latest Attica figure received.
I wanted an relatively authentic Cavalry trooper from around 1876.
the sculpt itself has some drawbacks, but overall Attica's artists did a GREAT job.
The figure does not have a correct hat for 1876, although the soldier could have purchased his own...
I have to chime in here.
I have five Attica painted figures so far.
All are beautifully painted! I have one more coming.
and I can't wait to see it.
They moved their operation to Armenia, and are still doing great products.
I am a regular customer.

I'm very excited to get a decent Civil War artillery Caisson with horses.
The JJ Designs set looks like a good one.
However, I want to have a six horse team.
Does anyone know how they will sell these sets?
1. as a full set of limber and four horses?
2. separate-single horses, and separate...
