Actual 60mm figures as measured from top of base to head; can work realistically with some FOV and 21st Century Cold Steel Armor. Some of these models are between 1/31 and 1/30 scale and provide an economical means to build multivehicle dioramas.
The FOV Jagdtiger is one of the last FOV Panzers...
The excellent K&C Luftwaffe figures are great for aircraft shelf displays. The 3 figures add great interest to an FW109D shelf display. The late war Dora is considered to be one of the best fighters of WWII.
FOV models are 1/32 scale. the correct figure size for 1/32 is 54mm. 60mm figures would be too large to be realistic generally. The exception is that some FOV Armor is oversize. The Jagdpanther is 1/31. The Jagdtiger and Pershing are 1/30. I have these in my collection and they are displayed...
Thank you I appreciate the confirmation of the PZ IV scale. FYI a 1/30 scale Panzer IV H has the following dimensions:
Height 90mm, Width 100mm, Hull Length 195mm, Overall Length 230mm. The dimensions are calculated from the actual dimensions and verified by comparison with a precise 1/30 scale...
Rather than casting aspersions; perhaps you could simply answer the question. What is the height of the Grob Deutschland figures, top of base to top of head? Also the height of the deck of the Panzer IV would be useful information for those collectors who care about scale accuracy.
I am...
The heads of the figures are way below the deck of the PZIV and it is not caused by the camera angle. Saharas excellent photo shows the correct relation.
Thank for all the compliments Warrior. I would consider responding in kind but I wouldn't stoop to that level of dispicable diatribe.
Sarah the figure in your photo is the correct size relative to the PZIV. The Gross Deutchland figures are the ones that look under size. Thanks for posting these photos; it shows the PZIV is correct.
The figures look under size next to the PZIV. The PZIV deck is 55mm high in 1/30 scale. The figures heads should be above the deck. The photos show the heads below the deck which would make their height close to 54mm! Has anyone measured their height?
Very nice comparison photos. They clearly show the difference in scale. The smaller M113 could work well with the FL M48.
The interior details and rear ramp are quite well done on the TCS M113. A great base for modifications!
TCS usually uses decals which can be removed without damaging the paint using Scotch Magic tape. Apply the tape over the decal and the decal will come off with the tape. I have used this method many time to remove and replace decals.
Subjective comments cannot be compared in a meaningful way. Dimensions would be needed for accurate comparison. Does huge refer to the length or the diameter of the barrel?
The ED KT barrel length from the front of the turret to the end of the Muzzle brake is 175mm. The diameter of the first...
The gun barrel diameter and length is correct. The muzzle brake is the larger size used on the Tiger I. I am quite pleased with mine. The dimensions are correct for 1/30 and the details are accurate except for the fenders and muzzle brake, neither of which are obvious.
The custom order Figarti...
I cannot speak for Steve; but i own the ED KT too and the proportions of the turret to the hull are correct. Refer to Osprey New Vanguard #1 King Tiger by Jentz and Doyle. Plate C shows frontal , rear and side elevation drawings of a King Tiger.
The turret height from base to cupola is slightly...
Fact not opinion. I am sure as a King Tiger collector of note you will have a copy of Osprey New Vanguard #1 King Tiger Heavy Tank 1942-1945 by Tom Jentz and Hilary Doyle; the acknowledged experts on the KT. Please refer to Plates C and E
front, back and side elevation drawings of the KT. Refer...
I read Steves evaluation and his modifications to the ED KT. The proportions of the turret to the hull are correct and the same as the Figarti KT; which is the most accurate KT in 1/30 scale to date IMO. The over size muzzle brake and fenders can be corrected as Steve has demonstrated. The price...
