    KUR010 Ferdinand #501

Hunter Rose, How aggressive your answer is !. I want only to share information in a simple way of friendly discussions. But I see that it bothers some people who perhaps consider themselves to be the supreme knowledge for "educate" the forum. What I stated " and finally the muzzle brakes of...

    KUR010 Ferdinand #501

Compared to the majority of wartime photos that I have seen, I remain convinced that there are more "unblackened" muzzle brakes than "blackened" ones (and the same for the guns without muzzle brakes). Besides, it would be more accurate to say "darkened" because blackening will only occur if the...

    More New Releases!

Yes that's correct. Personally I prefer the previous FL figures.

    KUR010 Ferdinand #501

Number 501 was one of the most photographed Ferdinand by the russians during the battle of Kursk. We are lucky to have many wartime photos showing it from all sides, so we can notably compare the real camo scheme and markings with the FL model. A short historical story : on 13 July 1943...

German fallschirmjager panzerschrek : blind shooting ?.

Hi Mark, Thanks, these are good ideas. But, given the high selling price, it's still a shame that it's up to the customer to do this ....

German fallschirmjager panzerschrek : blind shooting ?.

I managed to find the NOR033 set on Ebay and I am wondering how the shooter aims at his target. Effectively, it seems that the small aiming window isn't correctely represented and so there is absolutely no visibility (see attached photos).

War Park New Release in March - DAK Assault Team

Very interesting footage Hunter Rose. I had never seen it before and I really couldn't imagine that it was possible to shoot that way with the recoil of a weapon as powerful as a MG42. In all archive films or photos that I have been able to view all these years there was no such way of shooting...

I didn't know that DAK had its own RAMBO !!!. Totally unrealistic but quite impressive pose.

Some remarks about the future Hetzer BB078

I hope not, I am just wondering. Maybe just the Chinese manufacturer don't follow the instructions completely, as for the PzKwIII Auf N KUR002. But yourself, how can you explain these different inaccuracy issues on such high quality models ?.

Some remarks about the future Hetzer BB078

Unfortunately, I don't find wartime photo of #232. But, on the other hand, I found two colored profiles of this Hetzer with a different unit ( PzJg Abt 510 ) and theatre of ops (eastern front 01-02/1945).

Some remarks about the future Hetzer BB078

I know very well that some collectors absolutely don't care about accuracy issues. For them, the essential thing is only a model with nice painting and weathering. But, without particulary wanting to count the bolts, a simple question : why did the manufacturer not release its model with a...

    RUSSIAN hunter.

Here is a photo for comparison with 1:35 scale plastic kit figures. FL figures are significantly larger, so a "true" 1:30 scale is very likely as discussed in previous posts. Nevertheless, this "WWII size" (except US paras and waffen SS) is the smallest compared to all other brands and even...

    RUSSIAN hunter.

Thanks again Hunter Rose, you are doing me a great service with all this information because I will probably never have all these tanks. On the other hand, you must have an amazing armored vehicles collection from all brands !. As a "tank fanatic" and "huge rivet counter", what do you think of...

    RUSSIAN hunter.

Yes OzDigger, I also had this impression during my remarks on certain FL issues (yet very real and without wanting to nitpick given the high price !). But we shouldn't worry about it and continue to discuss impartially on this forum.

    RUSSIAN hunter.

Once again, Hunter Rose, very constructive discussion. And I see that you have good and reliable documentation for measurements : Thomas Jentz books !. I have also several books from this author and many "Panzer tracts".

Thanks Hunter Rose, very appreciated, I had almost never seen in detail the FL BOB Panther. In regard of your side by side photos, it seems that FL Panther is slightly smaller than JJD, especially about the turret (front, side, top). You say that the paint and markings have been altered : have...
