This conversion is the XM734 Mounted Infantry Combat Vehicle as tested during the Vietnam War by the US Army. It was not totally successful but it did lead to future designs.
This completes the Australian Vietnam M113 series. The mortar track has full interior and was a blast to make. The markings are totally made up but I did get the idea for the M60 machine gun mounted on top of the m577 from the terrific book "Mud & Dust". Thanks for viewing my conversions.
