What I don't like is they're using a cheaper stock of paper, similar to a Time magazine weekly. We pay good money for the magazine. We should at least have better quality paper. Content wise its an excellent issue.
Combat was one of my favorites. My recollection though was the combat in combat was in the opening of the show and then hardly any action after. When I was kid, we played combat with each kid announcing I'm Kirby, I'm Gage, I'm Sgt Saunders.
A lot of shows aren't funny when you watch them years later, but F-Troop and the Honeymooners really stood the stretch of time. I really liked the Bob Newhart show and the Odd Couple too.
I was surprised they wasted a missile on the balloon. I guess jets don't have machine guns anymore. However, jets must be still armed with small cannons.
I think that's what they said about Navy battleships, but the aircraft carrier proved them wrong. The tanks heavy armor is probably in the front, but not on the top.
Thanks for all your help. My friend is definitely buying one. I was hoping for 1/72 scale, so he could add ground crew and really get him hooked on TS collecting.
Does anyone know where I could buy a diecast or other material C-17 transport airplane model. My friend served on one and wants to buy a model. Thanks.
Your first pic has two M1's and two carbines. I wouldn't want to go to battle with a carbine. I read that in the Korean War, the carbine bullet barely penetrated the thick winter padding of the North Korean/Chinese jacket (must be at a longer range).
Larry, I know for some reason, the Marines always got obsolete weapons. I just assumed they used the M1 Garand. Are you thinking they used WWI era 1903 Springfield bolt action rifles?
