You, Sir, are an outstanding figure painter.
Absolutely wonderful!
Beautiful, brilliant, vibrant colors!!!
I have 8 or 10 of those French WW 1 Generals, should you ever need any.
"really love the idea of swapping parts."
Me, too. I wanted to be able to make as many different poses as possible.
If you look closely, you'll see that only 2 body poses (one standing and one kneeling)were used to make all of these figures.
I am really having a ball with this.
Here are some of my new Alamo Defenders made from the Erik Reinikka master sculpts. Molds were made and figures cast using resin. Eric sculpted the figures to be multi part (like ExForce) so many of these are conversions.
These have been primed in gray and will be painted to match my other Alamo...
A very nice copy of the Time-Life book "The RAF at War" by Ralph Barker. This is the leather covered 2 nd edition.
Asking 15.00 plus shipping (media mail) in the USA.
PM here or nevinsrip@aol.com. Thanks.
All of the Mexicans in light blue are my original sculpts. They have been cast in resin and painted to match Marx Alamo Mexicans. The two darker blue Texicans in front of the gate, and the guy swinging the rifle over his head, are also my original sculpts.
The Texan casualties painted a buckskin...
Here's a quick set up I did using Britains trees, Barzso teepees, Barszo and Patterson figures and a Marx Stag from the Robin Hood playset.
I had a ton of fun doing this. I repainted all of my old Patterson figures with GW paints and they look much better.
Enjoy the pix.
Yes, I thought about it.
Unfortunately, the person doing the casting only offers completed, primed models.
He does a spectacular job, so I'm not biting the hand that feeds me.
If a cheaper way can be found, I'm all ears.
Had some fun with my toys today. Here's a small Wagon Train set up. The big leafy, tree is a Britains tree. The yellow wagon with the red top are both CTS. Both were repainted by me.
The ox drawn wagon came from a cheap "Westward Ho" playset, that included the original Marx wagon recast. You...
The first set of my new 54 mm Eastern Woodlands Indians arrived and I slapped some paint on them, so that you can see the detail. Just a slop coat, so that I could get these pix taken quickly. You'll see places where I missed putting color. I plan on repainting each one carefully, later on.
I...
I got a couple of these from Ed. I think that they are fantastic sculpts of a genuine gentleman.
I go all the way back to the beginning with Ron and have quite a bit of his stuff.
I keep pushing Jim Clouse to do a book on Barzso playsets and figures.
I even lobbied Rusty from Playset Magazine...
