Dear Carlo,
Thank for answering my post. I love Italy. I have been there many times and I hope I will be many more. I know the history of Risorgimento and I found it very interesting. Since the battle of Waterloo the next major conflict in Europe was the Austro-Pussian war (connected with...
I totally agree with you Carlo. A range with Risorgimento figures would be great. At least as part of the Franco-Prussian war. See below few of my Risorgimento figures from Stefano Alorini. Do you know Plantageneto figures?
Kind regards
Thanasis
I may say that I am a lover of Italy. One of my favourite places is Santa Margherita Ligure. I have been there twice and I will be again. During my recent visits I realized that I knew almost nothing about Risorgimento, so I decided to study. Now, I know a lot! Among them about the armies and...
Dear Carlo,
I agree with you. It would be great to have Risorgimento figures of this quality. So far a have a few figures from Saimex and I am thinking to get some from Plantageneto.
Kind regards
Thanasis
Dear Collectors,
Here are some Austro-Hungary infantry figures which I recently painted. They are Dorset castings provided by Imperial Miniatures. They are in the 1868 field dress which was in use until 1908, when it was replaced by the hechtgrau uniform. Hope you like them!
Mariela miniatures are always present at the London Toy soldier show. You can contact the organisers through their site ( Toy soldier collector magazine) asking for contact details. Mariela has nice Fuzzy Wuzzy and Sudan Royal Marines figures.
Dear Mr O'Brien,
I have seen your Austrians on your on line gallery. I particularly liked the Uhlan and the two Hecker and Goros infantry figures.
Soon I will post more Kuk figures.
Best wishes
Thanasis
Me too. I like the kuk uniforms. I have a number of castings and I started painting them. I attached 2 photos of already painted figs. The first is from Irregular Miniatures painted with the previous 1908 campaign dress and with the new hechtgrau uniform.
The next is from Tradition. A...
They Skoda Howitzer is great and I would like to see it with WW1 Austrian Crew. Maybe T. Gunn will consider to issue crews separate from the Howitzer so each collector choose what he likes. Recently I received the Prussian Belle Epoque Guards. A great set and I wait to expand it. I would also...
I was also wandering what is happening. I sent them a mail 10 days ago and I received no response yet. But there were present at the last London Show. I am curious.
They may also be Rank and File. Both Asset and Rank and File used the same sculptor. I have R. Navy figures from both and they are identical. You can apply to Asset for arms armed with Lee Enfield, SLR or SA80.
