Very sad news indeed. Pat Wade is one of the most remarkable gentlemen I have had the pleasure of interacting with here on the forum. Diane has always been a central pillar in his whole existence. Diane and Pat are in my and my family's thoughts and prayers.

The only issue I have with capital punishment is that you have to be absolutely sure it is the right person who is executed. Fully agree that some crimes are so horrendous capital punishment is the only way to restore some sort of balance.

Wuthering Heights was not much better Instead of starting with the ghost scene of Kathy clawing at the window in the middle of the night, it starts off with the close up of a hanging in Liverpool. the book is a classic for a reason.
