    News Update August 19th, 2024 - Anglo-Zulu War

I hope also for multiple sets, knew there was only a 2 figure set highlighted hence the 'Jacobites', was not trying to suggest anything else. Like you hoping for more, could see cavalry but think we would be lucky, very, to get artillery, like you i would be very happy. We will both have to...

News Update September 16th, 2024 - New Kingdom Egyptians

I know, i remember a bloke once say "Zulus, thousands of them". I do not collect Zulu war stuff, but even i was looking forward to seeing what John had done. I do like the figures he has shown, not my era but still appreciate them. There is always next week.

Only been collecting this range for about 2 to 3 years, have 9 sets, picked up the two sets below from Ebay last week, they are really great pieces and considering they are over 20 years old the quality has stood the test of time. Also a shout out to Andy for not only the quality of the...

    K&C Greats

They and others are gone, but they still echo with their previous posts. Remember them and smile, that is a fine way to keep their memory alive. Same with anyone you lost who you cared about.

    Olympics - who is winning

As a rule any 'sport' in the Olympics must be able to be calculated/scored/measured, such as fastest, furthest, closest [shooting], highest, longest, for me that is what sport is about, not artistic impression. Plus introduce a Platinum medal, which replaces the gold and is given if the person...

    Olympics - who is winning

It also costs the host country a fortune and they hardly ever get the return back. I would just give it to 4 or 5 places in the world [Greece, city in North American, South America and one in Asia, cities and places that are not doing great economically, they would get a boost every 20 years...

    Olympics - who is winning

Oh, not a big follower of the Olympics, become too corporate and professional for me, used to like it in the 80s, when there would be competitors and you would hear they were a postman or an accountant, policeman etc and that was their job and the sport was their hobby/passion. Now the UK just...

    Olympics - who is winning

I did not know she went instead of someone else, on various news outlets it said she got her place through a qualifying event against 14 other female contentants in Sidney in October 2023? Did not know it was a political [with a small p] decision. Not really into dancing, only dancing i excel...

    Olympics - who is winning

Reminded me of the British Eddie the Eagle in the winter Olympics and he did alright, they even made a film about him, same with the Jamacian Bobsledge team. God loves a trier and we all like to cheer for the underdog. So more power to her for having a go, showed the Olympic spirit, the taking...

News Update September 2nd, 2024 - The Inca Empire

I wish John would stop, these are just 'too good', thought i had completed my Conquest of the Americas, as i was only interested in the Spanish and the Aztecs, but now these, they look a definate for me. Whereas i think the royal litter and bearers would be great as a standalone piece, have a...

    KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- September 2024

This month's dispatches has a new RAF Table and there is the King Arthur Round Table being retired. Something complimentry about that, both iconic pieces/symbols in British history. With the RAF pilots being the Knights of their time, altho riding a much more powerful 'stead', it seems fitting.

That one is a beast, i have a few of the larger German 2 and 3 engined T Gunn planes, and like you i have not the room to display, but one day i will [i keep telling myself]. i have been thinking of getting a Sunderland and that will be a challenge to find space. Look forward to the new...

War Park’s Red Brick Wall Building (WS054) is Fantastic & Heavy!

You surpassed yourself with this display, i like the way you have included the debris and loads of it, something people often forget or there is just a spattering . I do not have that building, but bought Warpark Archways a few years ago and they were deceptively heavy. Often falling over, but...

New Releases for September 2024 - Trojan War

Just ordered this figure, think he looks a bit like a 'Hipster'. Like the historical characters releases, but, have said before, the Trojan Troops are my favourite, colourful and make a great grouping. Not sure where this range is going, but i am along for the ride.
