They do look good together. The TG sculpting is great and the rifles are very well done. The artist did his/her homework. I am looking forward to many more TG Boer War figures.
To be fair, I recently purchased three 17th Lancers two Zulus and a WWII German and all arrived intact. I do agree with the need to lessen the foam pressed against the figures.
I would rather have them fix the foam issue than begin making the weapons oversized, which I'm sure prevents against...
I love the idea of the slouch hat and the helmet. TGM has always been good with the A and B options. I know it's rarely said but, "electric in the air" with the Boer War series.:)
Thanks for the trip down memory lane fellas. Conte did release a lot of great stuff during that period.
I collected a lot of the plastic playsets with my son. Then we sold them to help pay for college.
I wish I would have kept the scenics :(
I agree there should be the end of the barrel and cleaning rod sticking out there if it is a Mannlicher M1888. It could be other rifles with a muzzle band. I think there was an earlier Mauser and a later Mannlicher that had that muzzle band that would give it that look.
I understand, it was just an idea thrown out there. In no way do I want to get in the way of your Boer War releases. I've been waiting ages for a company to produce a matte line.
Besides, the 24th Foot Last Stand grouping looks fantastic.
