New release: German Tiger Ausf E

I stated the TSC got the wheels on right. I made no mention of a Chinese manufacturer as the source of the problem. I suggest you reread my post.

    Gauls as Archers

Conte made several Barbarian archer figures. I have posted photos of them in my Roman dioramas. The figures are a true 60mm and will work with TG, JJD, TCS and FL Romans and Barbarians.

New release: German Tiger Ausf E

TCS got the wheels on right with this release. I wonder if US manufacture may have something to do with that! Better QA is good.

    New Tiger

Much more accurate than the last early production Tiger I from TCS. Made in the US should give TCS an advantage in shipping cost and better QC. I think it would look great in Panzergrau Wayne!

BB033 German Flakpanzer IV "Wirbelwind" Pre-Order!

First Legion really nailed the colors with this vehicle. I hope they stick with this mix in future Panzers.

Eagle Design King Tiger: Initial Review

Thanks for the excellent photos Tom. The metal wheels do not look broken; it looks like the glue join of metal wheel to the resin hull failed. A better glue would solve this problem. I find Slicon RTV works very well with dissimilar materials. Plus it is resistant to shock failure; which resin...

The photo is a Dreamworks hobbies 1/35 scale built model. Available on Ebay prices range from $225 to $450 depending on accessories like figures, diorama base etc. Dreamworks has pages of these models posted on Ebay. Great reference material IMO.

Fixing the Eagle Design King Tiger (Replacing Cannon and Modifying Mudguards)

Hunter I think using 1/2 inch Aluminum Angle for the mud guards would be better; as the material is quite thin and its available at any hardware store. Are you going to paint the new barrel?

Fixing the Eagle Design King Tiger (Replacing Cannon and Modifying Mudguards)

Great fun Hunter! Darken the Lime Green a bit and add some Dunkel Gleb dots and you will have a Hinterhalt-Tarnung King Tiger. I used Tamiya Acrylic paint on mine and it worked well. XF-60 Dark Yellow, XF-65 Olive and XF-64 Red Brown will work well out of the bottle. I look forward to seeing...

ED KING TIGER Ambush Pattern Repaint

I repainted my ED King Tiger in the Ambush Pattern used by King Tiger 113 of the 501st Schwere Panzer Abteilung. The KT survived the Battle of the Bulge and fought on in the Eifel region of Germany in 1945. Jean Restayn illustrates this KT in his book Tanks of World War Two.

Eagle Design King Tiger: Initial Review

Great review Hunter! Excellent side by side comparison photos; but they do not show a disproportion in the turret size. The hull deck and turret roof is the same height in the photos. The absence of the turret side bevel in the FL model alters the appearance. I cannot understand how a detail...

Eagle Design King Tiger: Initial Review

Nice to see that the Idler is correctly located. The metal tracks look really good and not full of mud. The removable tracks on the turret are a nice feature as is the opening hull hatches. I agree the green is too bright and this is the case with both the ED and FL models IMO.

"WAR PARK" Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.G 1th SS Panzergrenadier Division No.205 in Kharkov

Re: "WAR PARK" Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.G 1th SS Panzergrenadier Division No.205 in Kharkov ED is still selling theirs with metal tracks at a reasonable $135.00 price including shipping. Last time I checked it is available in both long and short barrel, plus Grey, Winter and Desert colors.

    Eagle Design king tiger

I just sent photos of the King Tiger in Ambush Pattern Camouflage at the German Tank Museum to Eagle Design. Y-Weido expressed interest in the Ambush Pattern for another camouflage version of the ED KT. Amazing how many Panzers ED has produced to date; Panzer II, III, IV, Tiger I and the King...

    Eagle Design Website

I was discussing the the colors with Y-Weido and suggested that ED should do an ambush pattern camouflage and he seemed interested. He requested a photo and I sent him one for reference; with darker green and brown than the current iteration. I cannot understand why many manufacturers of 1/30...

    Eagle Design Kingtiger Available!

The dimensions on the drawing posted of the ED KT indicate the scale is 1/30. Model size is: width 4.95" and length 13.3". A KT actual size is: width 147" and length 404". 147/4.95=29.7. 404/13.3=30.3 about as close to 1/30 as you will get using polystone IMO. ED probably read the complaints...

    Eagle Design Kingtiger Available!

The Winter version of the ED Kingtiger is available at Y-Weido on Ebay. I think the white base would be ideal for repaints for those so inclined like Hunter rose and myself. No primer needed!

    Eagle Design Kingtiger Available!

My intention was to include price and source information not cited in other posts. I thought the ED Kingtiger deserved a singular post; not comments buried in another thread on other subjects. The ED KT is unique in 1/30 scale. Metal tracks and wheels, plus opening/closing hull hatches. The...
