The white ball in the photo is a ball of packaging styrofoam protecting the end of the trooper's scabbard.

    Wilson Edward's Future

One of my prized Wilson Edward pieces: Australian Light Horse Trooper - 12th (New South Wales) Regiment, 4th Brigade - Syria 1917 in "Mounted Service Dress". He will be missed and remembered.

WWI Royal Artillery 6-Horse Gun Team

The item is painted pewter and the scale is 54mm or 1/32nd. Figures are in Matte finish; but horses and gun and limber are in semi-gloss. Nice combination.

WWI Royal Artillery 6-Horse Gun Team

This is Elfin Models of Wales' VERY RARE 6-Horse drawn WWI British Gun carriage with 5-man riding crew (3 on draw horses, and 2 riding on Gun Limber). The set is Mint (never displayed except for selling photos) and in original plain carton packaging. This is a great display piece for WWI and...

    W.W.1 Toy Soldiers

I totally concur. In second place for Glossy WWI, I might select Britain's Premier Series commissioned from Charles Biggs, and possibly tied with Trophy of Wales WWI figures..

    W.W.1 Toy Soldiers

William Britains produced in 2003 a WWI French 75mm Gun (camo painted) with Limber and 4-man crew in their Premier Series. Cat# 41025. It is a beautiful piece and manned by a US Marine Detachment (see attached photo). Earlier in 1997, under the same series, they produced two like-in-kind sets...

British Expedition to San Dominique/Haiti 1793-1798

Being defeated in 7 battles in 7 days!!! No wonder there is little written on the subject (no regiment wants to put that on their resume). {sm2} Haitians fighting for their freedom, from slavery, and oppression; and knowing their mountainous terrain, plus being accustomed to the tropics would...

British Expedition to San Dominique/Haiti 1793-1798

The only picture I could find showing British troops in Haiti, I believed during the rebellion is rather hazy, and shows a Scottish regiment. Uniforms used by the Haitians were French Empire influence, and acquired from the Spanish in the neighboring Spanish colony on the island of Hispaniola...

    WWI Displays

I have a correction. The correct names for two of the manufacturers are Toy Army Workshop in lieu of Toy Soldier Workshop and Guards Corps. in lieu of Guards Quarters. Sorry for any confusion caused, always give credit where credit is due.

    New LEMAX Oktoberfest Girls Oops!

The toy soldier shown is by Toy Soldiers of San Diego which are 1/32nd scale; which is slightly smaller then the 54mm scale. The glossy Britain figures are also 1/32nd scale, but Britains appear to have gone to the 54mm scale for their Matte figures (easier to paint to show more detail). These...
