    Was looking at doing this fat duke. I noticed that one of the commercial heads resembled him in the Morier paintings. He was grossly overweight and was wearing a cuirass. So I selected an Airfix cuirass. Notice how small the Historex cuirass is for comparison.

    Ptg the horse. Ive always liked this dapple grey coat colour, much more interesting than a white horse. The rough finish on the saddle is mostly hidden by the mtd rider.

    Finally, added the horse bits and reins! Added spurs to the boots. Added putty to the pants to position the figure on the saddle. Almost done with this long running piece. Started painting it in earnest.
