I reiterate: those paras are some tough hombres! I would not want to be trying to cock a spring loaded PIAT while German armor was spewing machine gun bullets and high explosive projectiles in my general direction.
To complete my Trophy WWI collection, I need to find GW51 the Russian Supply Wagon (I have never even seen a photograph), GWEQ81 the Motorized Ambulance, GA17 Mountain Mule Gun Battery of the Escort and GA20 Ottoman Turkish Cavalry Standard Bearer.
Mike,
I love Ken's terrain pieces, and own a good number of them myself. All you need is one of his Civil War backdrops and this already terrific scene will photograph even better!
Jason,
You are very kind, but I have seen many excellent Franco Prussian War dioramas on this forum. Any credit for mine belongs to Ken Osen and Dave from TM Terrain, who created most of the elements I combined to create the diorama.
I couldn't stand either of them. A pair of egotistical prats whose self-aggrandizement far exceeded their skills as military leaders. Without air supremacy, Bletchly Park and logistical superiority Rommell (and pretty much any other German commander) would have eaten them both alive.
I am biased, because Ken is a close friend, but I think that Ken is irreplaceable. I can't imagine anyone else having the talent and skill to effectively bring W. Britain's back from the dead like Ken did.
As I recall, you did let me know, but I was already the high bidder on the auction. I thanked you for the tip, but let you know I was already bidding. Thanks again, though! I appreciate when friends pass on something they know I want.
Thanks Martyn, and I join in Brad's question: did Trophy produce figures of other artists, and if so, do you know anyone who has any Trophy artist figures for sale?
