    I need a dog.

My Rorke's Drift diorama is complete but I now have an urge to add a dog to it. Surgeon Reynolds, the official medico who was at the Drift during the battle, had a pet dog named apparently named Pip. As well as providing companionship, it was claimed that during the evening of the battle, Pip...

    British WW2 Military Service records.

Doing a little research on behalf of a family member whose Grandfather is supposed to have served in the British military, possible RAF, during WW2. Having trouble tracking down a site where these records might be accessed. Any help or suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you, Brian

    Broken musket.

Re: Rorke’s Drift backdrop Those 2 are really nice. However, following the suggestion of another forum member, I have used a photo of the SA national park where the movie 'Zulu' was filmed. It turned out very well.

    Realistic dirt for groundwork.

When I use grass mats for groundwork for the dioramas I make, I often find that the grass surface looks too 'clean'. By this I mean that the surface has grass, either flat, or in clumps and little else. A while ago I wanted to sprinkle a dio grass surface with autumn leaves and after a little...

    Rorke's Drift backdrop.

Thanks Nic. Have just Googled that site and it does look good. I think I will go with your suggestion and take one of the images to someone who can digitally enlarge and print it. Much appreciated. Brian.

Thank Brad for another option. My problem is that at 75 my eyes and general motor skills are a bit shot, But I'll see if I can try and tackle something like this.
