Skill fairly paid is no sin. Good Business is a GOOD thing. Lets hope these unexpected changeslead to better times here in the West. We can now subject to Government policy, accept Chinese skill and Investments and produce our own products right here in town, how about that?????
I personaly will welcome the Input of the Chinese Ex Toy Figure Industry. Sculptors, Painters assemblers etc.....I will Employ in France if Legaly acceptable. We alllive in an ever changing world aint that so????
No more figures for 180 Notes when the girl who paints them gets paid fifty pence !!!!!! A Victory for the Western Industry, but likely misery for the thousands employed in China who now see their daily bread dry up......Mr Chan will now retire to Western Europe....and start uo all over again...
Business is Business. But now Mr Chan is no longer a Key Market Producer of TOy Soldiers Imports, due to VERY HIGH US Federal Import taxes at 20%, the manufacturers in EUrope and USa look now to secure a large market share and restore our beleaguered fortuens.
I can bring the same circle of Influence here for your Business too. I will make the arrangements with Hong Kong"....Now Chinese Toy Soldiers Resin figures and Kits are TAXED AT 20% by POTUS, will prosperity and decent living wages and working conditions return to restore our United States or...
However, once the "Money" supply dries up or gets Politicalyexposed, and withdraws, then a alrge part of the Toy Soldier Bubble world is going to go a very loud BANG and vanish overnight. Here at STUDIO PARIS ART we plan for and prepare for such "eventualities". Understand the Industry "Very well" §
Certain Producers apparently recieve Financial support and "Injections of cash" from anonymous sources. This keeps the price of making new Moulds falsely, artificaly low, and creates an UNLEVEL Competetive Playing field for the rest of us hardworking manufacturers burning our lamp at Midnight.
For example a certain Swedish Dealer has been illegaly selling our products for years, despite repeated warnings to stop doing this. Abusing Creative Copyrights is a very SMELLY RAT in our Industry, and unless and until we act to stop the crooked practices, our Industry will be "Unlikely" to...
Now 20 % Tax Import charge has arrived against Chinese product, this can only help our own Internal shrinking Toy Soldier Industry to take full advantage of the market and grow back again. (Hopefully). That depends of course if we get passed the real Dividend and real benefit of those Charges by...
For far too many years China has dominated the Toy Soldier Market, however,n with suspicious ethics, questionable working practices and safety standards, and harsh, low wages and bad treatment of Personnel in general. Certain Producers whocharge the "earth" for their painted figures got rich...
There will be a steady level of MOUNTFORD kits available, a smaller amount of "Large Scale" Metal figures, and the Medieval 1/32 series. Several DUCAL will also make a return now. Lots of things to paint, photogrpah and do scenery for.....see you later. :)
My wife and I are getting the Medieval figures primed up and painted, ready for a Photo shoot session to make NEW Box Artworks for our Printers. I will issue a early few with the old CHIVALRY Box artwork for Nostalgia collectors. Else it will be all NEW Model photographs in Colour print
Box art note. We have bonded the Artwork Box "top" photo to the sides of each box for some of the larger more expensive kits, as a extra security against "Pilfering" of or opening boxes in transit etc. Hence the paper flap visible in some photos as it has yet to be packed and sealed down.
Of course the wooden fence or wall and the tree and hedge COULD be farm stuff too, though in fact it is designed to accompany tyhe Medieval Jousting Torunament set.
Because customers reasonably expect to SEE apainted assembled Model example of the work they are buying, and the existing Product photos are with some exceptions, very old and inadequate, we are building NEW Display Models and NEW Photo shot and backgrounds to eventualy supersede the old materials.
Casting bins like this take the work to the cleaning and assembling room. We have to assemble hundreds of Display models oweing to not recieving a single one intact or even useful, from N Z. This is taking an eternity to do...But people wont buy products unless they SEE theya re good quality...
