Went to see "Napoleon" yesterday......to say disappointing is putting it mildly!
Besides the inaccuracies, omissions and outright falsehoods Napoleon was portrayed as a horny buffoon.
The movie was more burlesque than history and the musical score was incongruous and distracting.
If you could...
JJD is releasing their new Bunker Hill Range in 2024 and it will include British Marines. Not sure how the 1776 uniforms will match up to your 1788 scenario but perhaps with some painting upgrades they will work.
American Revolution figures are most welcome especially since the 250th Anniversary is just around the corner (2025 for Concord and Lexington).
I have stocked up on AWI sets from the Saratoga, Cowpens and Oriskany ranges. The Bunker Hill Range will add some great figures to the mix.
My wish...
Most of the original Custer Last stand figures (TW Series) in original boxes for sale.
If interested in particular items or the whole series please PM me for photos and prices.
Very competitive prices way below the newer series.
Boston had an amazing comeback but winning four in a row is a daunting task. No doubt Tatum was hurt after the ankle twist and their 3 p0int shooting was just "off" in the first half.
Miami will have a very tough time against Denver......but will the Nuggets be well rested or a little rusty...
This is one of my favorite ranges and highly anticipated.
I was not disappointed when it was released!
I have multiples of all the vehicles and would love to see some
additional figures of Egyptians/Syrians/Palestinians to counter
the more numerous Israeli figures. An Israeli M113 APC would...
Britains makes excellent AWI figures which I have collected for many years. I am just very surprised that they
have done almost no "Hessians".........who fought in most of the Revolt's major battles.
Some American artillery would also be welcome.
Saw the preview last night and I would call it a "trip"! Although a "bladder busting" 190 minutes long the visuals
and aliens/creatures are mind boggling. Suitable for children probably ten and up but not if they have ADD because
its a long journey. I think I liked the first Avatar more but...
Yes I have both and displayed them together. K&C goes better with JJD in size and painting. First legion figures are slightly smaller and thinner. Their painting is better in terms of detail and shading.
Still you can use them together in dioramas/scenes and they will blend. Economics is...
I am going to collect the full phalanx and initially use them against the mid-republican Romans (Battles of Cynoscephalae 197BC and Pydna 168BC).
When, hopefully, John produces Persians and Macedonian/Greek cavalry a new opponent will be up against the Phalanx.
I will be mixing in my First...
I have all the sets released so far, some in duplicates.
I believe John is producing artillery and there will be more Arab mercenaries.
Depending on how well this series sells we could see many more sets.
Should make a very colorful diorama!
