Hi Guys,

Just rec’d in this morning some more “counter-samples”* of additional P&M foot figures...This time, some of the King’s Men.

I thought you might like to see them practicing in front of King Charles I himself.

The structure they appear on was a joint effort by Gordon and yours truly which, over the years, has proved a mighty useful “Backlot Building” and has played host to...Russians & Germans in a “Fall of Berlin” scenario here in Head Office.

It also featured on the front cover of a “CollectorChristmas Issue...And in a few days’ time it will appear again as a special “Dickens Village” diorama that is going to be on show as part of Pacific Place’s “Christmas Theme” this year...

On that one more details later...But for the moment its home to a small Royalist garrison and “Pike & Musket”.

All the best and happy collecting!

Andy C.

Wow, pretty speco. Hopefully the Royalist's are not to far away for release, hint another Christmas present. Those buildings work so well. Keep up the excellent work on this series. :salute::, Robin.

Hey Andy mate,
That Dio is so sweet. Just love those buildings with the Castle backdrop. Congrats to your good self and Gordon on its presentation with the new Royalists. Do "backlot buildings" travel down to the Land Downunder?????^&grin^&grin
Keep up the great work.
Cheers Howard

Andy,
Your collectors would love these buildings! Please consider producing these individual buildings (or close facsimile) in the same material or something more light weight.
K&C does many things so well but the scenic pieces truly accentuate your figures and vehicles. From Ancient Egypt to the Desert Village, Old Hong Kong to the European Theatre your buildings are a wonderful complement for so many series.
These buildings could be used for European villages from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, 17th Century Pike and Musket, Seven Years War, Napoleonic Era, Franco-Prussian Wars, WWI and WWWII....and of course Dickens.
They would cover a vast period for collectors that as of now is only available with expensive custom made structures.
Please Consider!!!!

Rich mate,
GREAT POST. I fully concur with your thoughts. K&C Desert Village range has proved a big winner and I am sure these building which could be used with many ranges as you stated would also prove to be the same.
That castle background is outstanding.
Cheers Howard

I think -- but could not swear to it -- that George Guerriero of Minuteman Toy Soldiers has some buildings that look like the ones shown by Andy. I know that I saw one or two on his table at the recent Hackensack Show.

Hey Brad ... a mind like a steel trap!
Yep, George has two facades ..... I think .... from Frontline. If you scan the Hackensack photos I think you will see them with the Pike& Musket figures.

Hi Brad & Larry,

Here you go....I snapped this shot at the Hackensack show:

Certainly see a potential here for some appropriate buildings for this series. Early days yet, sure K&C have something in mind along these lines. Thanks for supplying, food for thought. Robin.

Thanks for the photo Mark and the info Larry. You never know with Frontline so the best hope may still be for K & C to make them.

Brad

I looked at Frontline's website and it still shows the buildings. However, their website is hopeleslly out of date; it lists some dealers who are no longer in business, for example.

At any rate, I did take a look at some dealers who are Frontline dealers and they don't carry these buildings. I doubt they're still in production and they're probably impossible to find.

So, if you want those buildings that George has, better beat a path to his door and hope that K & C makes them in the future.

Brad
