Hi Guys,

No matter what we do… how we do it … when we do it… or why we do it… There’s always some folks somewhere that won’t like it… or be disappointed…

Oh well c’est la vie… c’est la guerre.

Best wishes to one and all,
Andy C.

Cause lately everything we see being done seems to be aimed at pissing off loyal and as a matter of fact any colleors one way or another???

Andy,

If you're referring to the change in Dispatches, over the years have become used to seeing them. No one says you had to continue that forever but change can be frustrating for some but as we know change is the order of things. I'm also sure that you knew some would be disappointed.

Anyway, life goes on.

Brad

Yes I'm sure Andy gets out of bed each and every morning and says to himself...'Hmmmm .....what can I do to-day to piss all my customers off ?'....... obviously...{sm2}

Easy mate. All this really is is a one month hiatus. Henceforth, dispatches will arrive per usual, with the added bonus that the items will be available for near immediate shipment. Furthermore, it will likely benefit not only K&C, but also their dealers. The latter won't have issues with new releases being outshone by coming releases, keeping track of orders far out in the future, handling grumpy customers who wonder why said items aren't in stock yet, etc. Frankly, although I have no knowledge, I would wager this new strategy was at least a partial response to dealer requests/concerns/problems despite Andy's attribution otherwise.

In one month you will prefer this new dispatch approach, I'm confident.

I must admit I am a bit surprised not viewing the upcoming offerings with my cup of brew this morning, but if that is what needs to be done
so be it. Maybe Andy will be previewing some new upcoming releases during the Texas Toy Soldier Show later this month. ^&confuse
The excitement...........Builds ^&grin

Texas sounds good PA, but its Chicago I'm fixing on this year:wink2:{bravo}}

Enjoy the show!

Rob

I appeal to my right to remain silent.

Harrie:rolleyes2:

Harrie mate,
Like you I thought about the silent approach, but then I thought, what the bloody heck. I have to give the lads on the other Forum including my good mate Frank something to talk about. So here goes

"OUTSTANDING BUSINESS DECISION, ANDY" "CHEERS COBBER, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK"

Also Harrie, I hope to catch up with you at the London TS Show and enjoy a chat and a cold one.^&grin
Cheers from the Land Downunder, Howard

I hear you Rob, I am really considering Chicago this year but.......First comes the ever nearing show in San Antonio. ^&grin

Andy- I may not agree with your price decisions, but I do agree with the dispatches changes. While I am very disappointed not to see new figures, I think it will pay off in the long run. While I may not buy that much K&C due to the prices, I respect you as a manufacturer, businessman, and from what I've heard, a great guy. Nolite te bastardes carborundorum! :wink2:

this all makes alot of sense. kc is getting back to the way it used to be. now if something comes out and you like it, you can buy it while not worrying about something you really want that is coming out six weeks later. it is less stress. its also great for the dealers. way to go andy. great move

Andy, Just the fact that such a tiny change in the dispatches has recieved such an powerful, emotional response is a great thing. If noone cared or said anything this toy soldier world of all of ours would be in trouble.....but I suspect you already knew this would happen  p.s., more early war Wehrmacht would be greatly appreciated.

Also and befire you know it we will be quite used to the new dispatches

It will become normal operating procedure very quickly. K&C must know their market well given how long they have been around. Perhaps they will open the new system with the announcement of a range acknowledging the approaching commemorative events from 2014 onwards!

Now that would be splendid Jack, I look forward to whatever Andy may have up his sleeve for the centenary:salute::

I've been following all the Hooplah on the threads for some time now...I don't really like going tit for tat on subjects very often...But ,
this is what i have to say...I get that everybody is passionate about what they are in to...Obviously in this case it's Toy Soldiers...It may be arguable to some but i think the reason K&C takes alot of heat is because they are the leader of the industry & obviously very accessible to their customers whether it be for praise or backlash...
Every move is scrutinized & examined & either praised or scorned...But in the end of all this requires some perspective !
This is what I believe...I believe Andy is a genuine person & that he really enjoy's Toy Soldiers & the industry...I don't believe he is at this for the money or to drive collector's from the hobby or to sabotage our hopes & dreams...
I have been collecting K&C for twenty years & have had the chance to meet Andy a couple times in 99 & 00 @ the Chicago Show...My impression then & now is the same , he is a man who truelly loves what he does & it shows in the product he unvails...
there are alot of things K&C has done over the years & continue to do still...They are willing to bring product to us that we would otherwise never see...Examples...Who else has made a French Char B1 ? an Italian M13/40 ? or Italian Somevente SPG ? or a PZkpfw 38t ? a Pzkpfw 1 Ausf F ?
The point is K&C provides the TS collector's with a diverse & interesting product line...
We should all enjoy this hobby , as that is what it is a hobby...I get the backlash over prices & dispatches & such...there were times i was unable to purchase items at given times due to money & missed out on things...Buy what you really want & really enjoy...
As far as dispatch's I did enjoy seeing what was coming up...But i am patient & surprises are in the end ok with me...Especially if they may be more early German AFV's , a Romanian 38t , a grey Hanomag , maybe a DAK Sdkfz 263...Sorry , got side tracked there...
In summation , let's enjoy the hobby...I like what Chris did earlier with his comparision pics of the german AFV camoflage & tank commanders...or maybe it's time for WO to step up with another TS review...
