should there be a 1:18 and 1:6 forum?
i personally don't collect these scales very much but i think if we introduced these to the boards a lot of people will probably be happy with it.
plus we'll get a lot of new members.

Ultimately that would be for Shannon to decide.(also she doesn't stock these scales).

I don't collect these scales either but I would certainly be interested in seeing what others collect in those areas. There certainly are some amazing figures in 1:6 scale.

No, I don't think we should go there. This is predominantly a 1/30 and 1/32 forum and I would prefer we keep it that way.

Sure, why not? I collect primarily 54mm, but it's no skin off my nose, if we were to add a subforum for larger scales.

Has anyone done a search to see how much existing content in the forum, for the larger-scale figures?

I know that we've discussed 1/18 aircraft, in the 21st Century Toys and BlueBox threads. It might be a good idea to see how many threads come back on some keyword queries.

Prost!

I agree.:) IMO, 1/6 scale collecting is on a different spectrum of collecting when you compare them with toy soldiers, and models. Not that I have anything against 1/6 scale, I just think toy soldiers and 1/6 are different hobbies.

Ditto, and I make my living selling 1:6th. Two different hobbies. There are already a ton of boards dedicated to one sixth. They probably out number the toy soldier boards 10 to 1.

Yo Troopers, not really that much difference lol. Think there is a 54mm hiding behind one of the Staddens:rolleyes:.
Bernard.

Dear "Jazzeum":
About 4 or 5 years ago I had up to eight of the 1/6 scale "action figures" as a sidebar collection on display. But about 3 years ago I sold off all but one of them on eBay. I would not mind seeing a 1/6 scale section at the Forum, but I voted no on the survey all the same.

What about making a group here on the forum that way only those interested join and share ideas, photos etc...

I mentioned this to Shannon and her feeling was that if there was sufficient interest she would consider it but she would have to see it. From what we've seen, I don't believe that interest either exists or has shown itself.

be it 1:144th or 1:1 scale- if it's a toy soldier, I think it is perfectly fine to have it on this forum.

There's room for all.Maybe a lot more collectors would join if this was a section.

exactly what i was thinking.
then maybe since they'll be around so many small scale collectors, they would start collecting small scale too.
