1/18 Ardennes (1 Viewer)

I migrate between 1/32 to 1/30 to 1/18 from time-to-time; most recently appreciating the larger 1/18 scale. Here's a few pictures from a recent photo-shoot of some Germans in the Ardennes:

Thanks Tom. Sure, here's a few shots from a few years ago. I initially used this with my 1/18 DAK collection (understanding that it is not a desert paint scheme).

Thanks WO, it certainly looks good along with the rest of your collection. The only thing I would do to the vehicles however would be to give them a bit of weathering along with some battle scarring/paint scrapes etc.

Always liked 1/18 it was my scale for years until 21century folded and my $40,000 collection lost appeal and moved on. Good to see it is still enjoyed.^&cool, Robin.

Sounds like you've got a pretty big collection Robin. I enjoy breaking out a few of my pieces from time-to-time, then I drift back to the smaller scales.

If your handy with the brush WO then it's not to difficult to weather a vehicle. If your not confident in doing this then im sure there are plenty of blokes that will do this for you and at a reasonable price. It all comes down to whether you want to leave the vehicles untouched and of course if you are happy in the way they look from the factory. I for one sometimes do not like to tamper with a vehicle from it's original factory look, even if im not all that happy with the paint job. Other times though I am happy to apply additional weathering and or change the vehicle look altogether.
