I know these have been off the market for some time now but in my mind they are the most fun to set up. They are painted, pretty detailed and you can pose the figues. In other words you can have as many as you want.
That truely was the Golden Age of toy soldiers that time frame of 1999 thru 2002. 21st Century was going strong, Conte was actually making playsets, K&C was just starting to make a name for itself, Barszo a new playset every year.
Back to 1-18th. I found a guy who would make detailed 1-18th vehicles from scratch or close to it. He would charge in the $125 range but I think after a while he realized for the time involved it was not worth it. I have several one of a kind 1-18th vehicles.
Found another guy that converted those Indiana Jones Russians into British 8th Army and British paratroopers. He also added those 21st Dak figures long brown coats to make Russian winter fighters.
