Thank you for posting the pictures. I know this has been discussed on another thread, but bear with me please, are they 1:30 scale and what are the prices?

Sorry about that. Have been trying to resize some other photos without much luck, and consequently missed out the prices. The scale is 1/30th and the prices are :-
(A) No M415 Naval mounting kit £27.95 Painted £41.95
(B) No M416 US Air drop version mounting kit £37.95 Painted £56.95
(C) No M417 British wheeled carriage version kit £39.95 Painted £59.95

These look terrific! Question, since only a small number of US Bofors were on the M5 carriage, is there any plan to produce the standard US M1 carriage? This would be nice for US forces (Army, Marine and Navy) in base defense in all theaters of operation.

Gary.

No definite plans at present but Dave will undoubtedly consider all requests.

I am considering the British field version. I wonder if they are going to have any crew with it.

And I have no experience with this companies products. Does anyone have some of their models?

Suggest you check out the website at www.mountfordmodels.com They have only produced 1/32nd up to now, the Bofors is the first in 1/30th scale.

Interesting stuff on their website. It looks like the Bofors is the first foray into Allied WW2 - I hope there's more, either 1/30 or 1/32nd.

Apparently there is something for the Home Front scheduled for the December show which is going to have a vehicle and buildings.

The first kit of the 40mm Bofors that David made came with a British crew that could be used as either Noth Africa or Pacific/SE Asia areas, as the troops wore shorts.

Here is my Aussie ( Pacific) gun painted in matt finish.

and one from the North Africa camapaign.

Looking at this re-worked gun, I can see that he's put a whole lot more work into it to produce an even better piece.

Its great to see that he is back into buisness, as he makes the most authentic guns that I have had the pleasure to assemble/paint and collect. I do like the look of his new Canadian Sledge Gun and 1890's guns too.

regards,

John

Word is that at least three crews are planned. 8th Army wearing serge battledress with KD shorts, a US crew European theatre, and Royal Navy on Arctic convoys. Other crews may follow, dependant upon demand.
