It is my opinion that 1:35 scale lends itself best to diorama realism.... is this scale not popular anymore?? Has the art of model building become unpopular.....Is there anyone doing these??....Thank you....

We have tried to take the 1/35th scale mentality and bring it to this hobby. But you have to watch yourself a lot of the pure collector types don't want to see the two blended together.

If you have not seen our work, you can see it spread around this Forum or at www.toysoldierschat.com under Battle Scene Productions. The detail of todays products are so good, that there is no need to have to go through the tedious process of building and painting 1/35 scale Tanks and Soldiers. So you can concentrate your efforts on the scenery with very similar results.

It is especially rewarding as you get older when your patients wears thin and your eyesight isn't what it used to be. Alexdakars work also is of the 1/35 scale caliber and mentality, and many others are catching on. Alex

Alex: I still like 1/35 armor and figures. There is a wide range of vehicles, figures and diorama accessories. I realize toy soldiers is the main focus but I don't think dioramas in 1/35 scale would be a distraction unless you get the "bolt counters" who worry about every little detail.I can still see good enough to make the models but they are time consuming. 1/35 does have a tremendous variety and you can alter stuff to suit your needs, but I don't have enough patients to do it any more. And my rivet counting days are slipping away also. I proudly display my paratroopers with the flag, and the tanks with the bad treads. But what is bothering me lately is the main tank guns that will not stay up. But I wedge something in there and it fixes the problem. Alex
