Hey Gang. I had some down time last month and decided to create a 1:35 scale WWII German soldier vignette from scratch. It is called LENINGRAD FACTORY. Check it out. Nick

Nice job Nick, I like the way you do debris, nice broken window affects.:)

Thanks a lot Mod. I take pride in making debris. That sounds strange. lol:D
Debris takes a while to create if you want to make it look real. There is so much that goes into making debris aside from just taking bricks and rubble and tossing them on the scene. That's not enough for me. I actually took the time to study debris fields in order to get it to look good. I guess I'm a debris Nerd. lol. The broken glass in this diorama is larger then the faux glass that I usually use. The thicker glass is much easier to glue down but at the same time it is heavy and I prefer using the thinner and lighter stuff and tossing it all over the debris field. Thanks again for your compliment.
Nick:)

A debris junkie, I like that!:D You do good work with the debris field. All I do is collect things to make debris. I think I got half of all the pebbles from Lake Michigan in jars along with a good chunk of the sand dunes.:D I also have boxes of twigs and other bits and pieces you might need. My collection of diorama material exceeds everything else. I still have to make a diorama soon or all my debris collecting went to naught. What glass is used? I don't understand what faux glass is? John

Yeah, I have plastic see threw boxes with my diorama stuff in it. I even collect moss from my backyard.
Faux Glass. or something that looks like glass or broken glass but it is something else. My broken windows may look like glass but they are plastic. Dats what I'ma talken bout. Nick:cool:

Nick,
I stumbled on this little gem and .....kept looking. I'm mesmerized by it. It's great for a little "down time"! Love the tips along the way as well! Mike

Once again Nick very nicely done and photograph.......The Lt.

Thanks guys. It was a quick little circular scratch build. I think circular dioramas are the best to view at. I realized that I forgot to add a couple of items in this diorama which do need some support. I don't like to go back to a diorama when I am finished. I tend to destroy it. lol.:D
Nick:)
