I noticed some discussion about the Armour Die-cast aircraft in 1/48 scale. I have a few and I really like them. I recently discovered Hobby Master in 1/48 and purchased an F3F-1 and a F2A Buffalo, both in pre-war navy colors. These models are the most detailed and colorful die-cast aircraft I have scene. I just can't say enough good things about them. You 1/48 collectors should check them out. Those pre-war colors are gorgeous. -- lancer

I am impressed by the 1/48 Hobby Master aircraft. I am partial to the Mk XIVc, 610 Squadron, Sqn. Ldr. R. Newbery, June 1944 myself but then I am not a fan of clipped wings. This scale does not rival their truely amazing 1/32 releases but the detail is quite nice and you get
pad printed markings and placards, opening canopies, some detail in cockpit interior, and hinged extending/retracting landing gear and some flight controls. I also like their 1/72 ones better than the several Corgi and Dragon Wings I have.

I thought this beauty deserved a look.;)

The upcoming post war Mk XVIIIs look nice too.
