George those are some nice dioramas! When are you going to do one with your napoleonics?

Thanks Tim; funny you should mention that, I'm going to fire one up shortly, either Borodino or Aspern/Essling, so keep an eye on this thread.........

Aspern/Essling sounds cool! what do you have for a river crossing set up?

I've got some latex rivers made by a company now out of business and a nice stone bridge set. Iv'e also got a boatload of buildings, some nice Austrian type and Russian village huts and a beautiful church too.

Now I understand why you do 1:72nd scale. Lots of detail in a smaller area. Really nice stuff George. Keep'em cumin.

Seems besides working hard your playing hard. Great job with the DIO'S and photos. Hope all's been well at your end.........The Lt.

Great stuff George, you can really put together very large dios in that scale. They must be tough to paint, but I guess the bonus is you don't have alot to paint. I would go blind, looking forward to the Naps. Mike:)

Nice pictures George. The 1/72 scale looks neat and fun to paint and set up. I see Squadron Shop April issue was selling painted 1/72 diorama bases and scenery. Looks interesting. Don't know much about small diorama scenery makers. Leadmen

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. 1/72nd scale always has been and always will be my scale, as has been pointed out, you can do a lot with less space.

Lt, it's all about having fun this terrific hobby of ours. I make a living selling toy soldiers and feel blessed to be able to say that, but I also love the hobby, always have and always will.

Rather than fill up the bored tonight thread with 1/72nd scale stuff, I'll just keep adding to this thread to keep everything in one place.........

Very nice George. What figures are they? Do you have any AB figures ? They make some incredible 20mm WW2 figures. They're sculpted by a guy named Anthony Barton. I've read that he's the best sculpter of any size figures. I believe it. I'm painting some of his 18mm Napoleonics now and they're really great figures.

Thanks for the feedback JR; the figures are mostly from Battlefield Miniatures 20mm WWII wargaming figures range. There are several AB figures mixed in too, I love his figures too. They are perfect figures, the best 20mm WWII figures on the market.

Regarding his Napoleonics, you mention they are in fact 18mm, not 15mm. Do you think they would mix with 20mm Napoleonics, or are they too small and in fact just bigger 15's; let me know what you think...........

George no, AB Napoleonics won't mix with 20mm. I put them next to 1/72 figures and they're way too small. They're great little figures though.

Thanks for letting me know JR, the scales on wargaming figures are all over the map, big 15's, small 20's, it drives me nuts......

George.

A fantastic layout you have there, brings back happy memories of when I used to collect the smaller scale figures many years ago :)

Regards

Jeff

Jeff,
Thanks for the kind words, I enjoy doing the layouts very much, it's been awhile since I've done one and I enjoyed doing these two.........
