This is a fascinating article about an author's visit to the Lorraine region where Americans fought -- and lost their lives -- almost 100 years ago. The author is writing a book about American participation in WW I and this article appeared in the Times' Travel section two days ago. The article includes recommended places to stay and guides if you decide to go.

A great article and I am very impressed with the depth of exploration this writer undertook. Very glad to know that the French haven't forgotten the US effort and that they still appreciate the sacrifice. I really enjoyed this article. Brad, as always, thanks for posting. -- Al

I thought it was a great article Al. I just happened to discover it by accident and glad I did. Sounds like a trip we all wish we could make.
