I was in Toys-R-Us early on the 24th and saw some new Viet Nam, 173 ABN figs- anyone get these yet?? I think they look pretty cool. Lots of additional accessories.

I know I,m in the big minority here on this board, but I love 21st 1-18th stuff.
Yes I have multiples of the 173 Viet Nam figures. I also have the older 101st VN Airborn, along with 3, 1-18th hueys, and multiple NVA & Viet Cong.
Due out anytime are 4 Platoon (the movie) charector figures.
There Battle of the Bulge figures are also excellent.

I love the 1:18th stuff as well, though I got away from them when they started "naming" the figures. Based on what I have seen here, there are a lot of guys who are into the 4" figures.

I have those Nam figures you mention- just love all of them- especially the 60 gunner. I also have the Huey and love it dearly. If you have some extra NVA or VC that you'd be willing to part with, give me a shout.

If the Platoon figs come out, gotta get R. Lee Ermy!!

Sorta disappointed with 21st relative to the fact they have come out with new figures, but no enemy for them.
Namely the Afrika Corp and not doing any new VC or NVA.
Those old NVA & VC are hard to come by.
From what I have seen the VN charector figures are Charley Sheen, Tom Berhinger, Willian Dafoe and Johhny Depp. Looks to be just different heads on the figures, not much else different from the regular 173 Airborne figures.
Sgt Ermy was from Full Metal Jacket.
