I have been looking at these and I can't tell if they are the BCH's of USCH's...the insignia on the hat most resembles the US Army...but the cuffed sleeves most resemble the British army...I'm almost sure they are USCH's but without the paint and the close similarities of the uniforms...it's hard to say for sure...I think they are American though...

John had talked about USCH crews...I guess these are them...

Can anybody expand with certainty?

I love the sets...I'm really glad there are two sets of three figures...I hate to repeat the poses...I can man at least three cannons with these figures...

Hi Mike, I am pretty sure it is one set of each!
The "loading" set being USCH's and the "ready to fire" set being BCH's - you can tell the guns are different as well!

B.t.w. has anyone got an idea of the figure behind the "ready to fire" set - is that a new wounded Jacobite flagbearer?

Very good Niels...thank you...I think you are right...

I think the insignia on the caps are a little different since you gave me a reason to inspect even closer...

one resembles the Brits and one the US...

the cannons are definitely different...

so if this is the case...

I hope John makes another crew set of each so we can avoid duplicate soldiers in a multiple artillery battery...

British ARMY......

Was wondering the same thing.

During this era, artillery uniforms were very different from their infantry counterparts, so I would expect confusion - remember, the Brtitish BoM artillery figures were thought by many to be Virginia Militia.

If the larger gun is American as the posts suggest, then a 6-pounder (british - single tail) and an American 12-pounder(2 tails). Just my guess.
