Does anyone have or make use of the Britains 18th/19th Century Redoubt sets? How do you like them and do they lend themselves well to a variety of set ups? I'm interested in getting some to use in a Bunker Hill set up, but just wanted to get someone's perspective on their utility first. Thanks for the input.
Best,
Josh

The redoubts lend themselves to the Battle of Yorktown or other British fortifications during the AWI. They can also be used for Confederate fortifications around Vicksburg, Fort Wagner, or Atlanta. The Union forces also used the redoubts, once captured from the Confederate defenders.

Has anyone used the new redoubt pieces with the older Yorktown redoubt 10 pieces? Do they fit together
?

Did further research on Bunker Hill. Looked at British battle maps and redoubt plans. The William Britain Redoubt pieces will work fine for creating the Bunker Hill Redoubt (aka Warren's Redoubt), but the battle line of the Continentals was from the redoubt (the anchor of the Continental's right flank) and finally extending to Breeds Hill (location of their main force) northeast of Bunker Hill. The redoubt (basically rectangular in shape) faced Boston to the south. The British Army under General Howe, eventually broke through the Continental Army's left flank, when the Continental Army ran out of ammunition. The Battle was a morale builder for the Rebels, even though it was a British Military Victory (at great cost). Hope this helps.

Here are some pics of a Yorktown diorama I did last year. This might give you some idea of how to use the redoubts that WB makes. I like them a lot. The only drawback is that they don't line up seamlessly. I used Photoshop to cover that up in my pics though.

Thank you guys for your input. I've still not made up my mind yet, but this has helped me shape my thoughts a little better. Rev these pics look great! Thanks again.
