My husband uncovered 10 5.5" plastic figures...some we believe are Japanese soldiers, Russian soldiers, and either American or maybe German. The Japanese are in tan the others are in different shades of green. Some are stamped with Louis Marx & Co. Inc MCMLXIII. Are they worth anything or do I let my young sons play with them?

Thanks

Depending on condition they could be worth a few dollars each. A complete set of Russians (there is 6 to a set: i.e 6 Russians, 6 Germans, 6 Japanese, etc) in excellent condition and color matched can go for as much as $45... they seem to be less common that the Germans or Americans. Coincidentally I'm selling a set of matched Russians and a set of matched Germans on ebay right now...

If they are in excellent condition a set of 6 can fetch around $50.00. There is one rare German that has been know attract bids of over $75.00, he is bayonetting downwards.

They were reissued and sold in ToysR Us and Kay Bee in the 1990's. If they are stiff plastic then they are the reissues. If they are originals, then they would have to be in very good condition to fetch anything worthwhile. Generally speaking, these figures come complete with scuff marks, chew marks and broken rifle tips. If so, give them to your kids to play with.
