Yes , hitherto it existed only at the 1/35° , and much higher price.

Remain 1/72° that FOV did not convert yet to the 1/32°, such the Churchill and the SU122

I think the GI 6X6 is LONG overdue for 1/32nd. Used from Tunisia to Berlin and from Pearl Harbor to Tokyo, plus Korea, plus multiple versions and configurations. Oh WOW!

Here are some FOV Drawings of the future releases. Sorry for the poor scaned picture quality.

Carlos, and I thought you were just continuing the on going discussions on the forum about a 1:30 scale Bismark.

It's kind of nice that they chose the hard-cab version. While I like the looks of the later "tactical" cab, the original version will allow use in Tunisia, Italy, etc. This might also look interesting in USN gray. While the Russians got mostly Studebaker US6 models, I believe that they DID get some GMC's also, so one can have this hauling ammo for your T34s, too.

Looking forward to several!

Gary

I am disappointed in their Sherman however! Crappy research. The tank shown is marked as "Thunderbolt" which was the name given to several tanks used by Creighton Abrams, one of the finest US armor commanders of WW2. The tank is sub-labeled "Italy, 1943", Abrams never served in Italy. He entered France with the rest of the US 4th Armored Division in July, 1944. The original "Thunderbolt" used in combat was an M4, not an M4A3, but that only matters to us "Shermanoholics" In respect to a fine officer, they could at least place his tank in the right country!

Nice truck Michael, very nice truck. I think about 2 or 3 of them will be in order for me when they come out. How many for you? I love the MG mount too. Carlos

Yeah, 2 or 3 for me too. I want one to tow the 105mm howitzer and the others in some sort of small convoy with a jeep or two and a couple of half tracks. It sure would be nice to have a couple of DRAGON WAGONS with the Normandy Shermans on the trailers to go with them.

Gary, I too am glad they came out with this version. I like the Browning 50 cal mounted on the hard cab.

And just how many tigers can be repainted

Come on FOV, the Elefant and the GMC are great, but keep up new models not repaints.

Just read where the duece & half won,t be out until after April of 08.

To quote that great philosopher Bart Simpson, "OH MAN!":(

But, I would think that they are anticipating the truck to be a big seller and they have to make sure that the production numbers will meet demand. Just a guess, either that or they just plain like to make life miserable for toy soldier collectors who have an instant gratification complex.

Yes, they are. Earlier this year I bought the M4A3 with "tank riders" and the three indantry on the tank weren't bad figures. This week I picked up the recent "82nd Airborne with Medic" and the set with two GIs and three German POWs (they both finally reached the local Target stores). The figure are MUCH better than their earlier efforts. Not perfect, but much nice anatomical proportions. Their M1 rifle still is about the size of a carbine, but that's easily fixed.

At Target they are $9.99 (USD) per set, so not too bad of a price.

Sometime I would like pick up the tank commander figures from their M5A1 and M3 "Lee" - they look good too.

Some of their recent 1/72nd stuff is quite tempting also!
