Guys, Some photos to share of the 2013 Dinner and of the honored guests Ltc Cole, one of the WWII Bomber pilots that participated in the famous "Doolittle Raid" on Tokyo Japan. Other speakers along with King&Country's Andy were
Mr. Thor Johnson from AeroArt, Matt from Hobby Bunker, and Mr. Osen from Britain's. Mr. Cole answered several questions from attendees as did the other speakers. Main topic asked to the mfgs was their opinion on the current state of the Hobby which seems as strong as ever.No specific upcoming product releases were mentioned.
The Medics Diorama was auctioned off and sold for a respectable $2,000.00 with all proceeds going to both American and British wounded warrior charities. Another fine event put on by K&C and the folks from KingsX.
One of my own personal highlights was being able to enjoy a cold beer at the Menger Bar with Ltc Cole and his daughter, along with Steven and Paul. Enjoyed WWII Buffs company at the dinner. :salute:: See you next year Duke. Also had the pleasure of spending some time with
Howard (NorthGateWoods) and his wife with a bit of after Dinner sipping of some beers at Madogs on the RiverWalk. Here's onya cobber.!

Thanks again for posting PA44! What a wonderful event! Hope someday I`ll get to be there too...!:wink2:

It certainly was an honor to have Ltc Cole with us at the show. He is a true American hero and it was great to hear him respond to questions from the audience concerning his career. I asked him how it felt to pilot a B-25 again (he flew one again last month at Eglin AFB Florida where they did the training for the Doolittle mission) and he said that "it's like riding a bike". Flying a bomber at 94... wow!

Here is a picture of myself and Ltc Cole and then a copy of the print that Andy drew especially for Ltc Cole (everyone at the dinner got a copy which was signed by Ltc Cole). Andy is truly a talented artist and has great respect for war heros such as Ltc Cole.

Enjoyed visiting with Wayne and Steven at dinner. Hope to see you guys again next year.
