The 2014 Lincoln Prize has been awarded to both Allen Guelzo got his book on Gettysburg and Martin Johnson for his Writing the Gettysburg Address.

Guelzo really deserved this. I can't remember a book about Gettysburg that I enjoyed as much. -- Al

Interesting. I read it and enjoyed it as a good general overview of the campaign. I pointed out it was not detail oriented and that other books needed to be consulted if one wanted the 'rivet-counter' version of specific actions. I would recommend it. I guess it's the perfect example of 'you can't please everyone'. -- Al
