This is an ONTC kit I purchased from TF a few years back when they were dumping their ONTC inventory. These kits are now sold through Valiant, unfortunately they no longer carry this particular pose.
He’s been sitting in my closet since he arrived. I decided to take a break from ACW so I painted him up this afternoon. I went with more of a “classic” look for the uniform. I read some of Andy’s thoughts in Collector regarding German uniforms and agree that this color scheme is very aesthetically pleasing although maybe not entirely historically accurate for the whole of the war.
I've seen some sources say that shades of German feldgrau were pretty random throughout the entire war, so if you go by these sources this color scheme could have been seen at any point during the conflict.
