I've done enough research to understand that the Hetzer was in fact a rather dinky fighting machine. But I can't help thinking that 21st Century's version - while a great-looking model - is just TOO small. Am I off base on this?

It is based off the same chasis as the 38t and the early and late war Marder III; all four of the 21st vehicles are same size IMO, so I think you are off base on this one, no offense.

I have ridden on one of these with six of us wearing full equipment hanging on for dear life... Boy are they small. As pointed out they used the Czech chassis and I have the Marder IIIM here and it is right on for 1/32nd. I am thinking about sculpting a couple of crew members for it I like it so much!

Any more thoughts on those crew members? They would make a great addition for BOTH Marder vehicles.

In the book "Inside the Great Tanks" the author mentions that although the Hetzer carried a good gun the cramped size and limited visibility reduced its combat effectiveness.

I was peruzing chinamart yesterday just as the days items were being stocked,,got the hetzer for 12$ and the chinese inf for 4,at last a small find.

Even though I don't collect the 1/32nd scale anymore, I saw a different color scheme for this on Ebay. Item #400030125982. Was this color scheme in stores?
