I spoke with Michael Cordero, head sales manager at 21 Century Toys this morning to discuss a recent post on the forum that the company was being sold. As it turns out the poster must have been reading old internet articles. Back in 2001 21st Century Toys was in negotiations wtih Jakks Pacific Inc. for a buy-out but they never reached a mutually satisfactory agreement and the idea was scrapped. Since then the company has continued on as a family-owned company and does not have any current plans to sell.
