I revisited my hometown Military Museum yesterday. [There happened to be a militaria collecters fair in town on the same day]. It's only small, but really fascinating. Zulu buffs will love it - there is a whole room dedicated to the Anglo-Zulu War including toy soldier dioramas and personal possessions of soldiers including those of Coghill and Mellville VC's. Infact the actual colour they trid to rescue is hanging in the nearby Cathedral which has it's own military chapel. There is loads of other good stuff too, these are regiments [now amalgimated into the Royal Welsh] with a mass of history and honours and have a close conection with the town. The staff are very helpful and the curator has a wealth of knowledge. I came out feeling very proud of my towns association with these soldiers.

If your in the area [it's in a great National Park] don't miss out.
