Great photo - but how did those three Germans at the top left sneek onto a Allied airfield? Did they wander over from another display to have a look? No wonder they are being stopped by the MPs!

Just one quick photo from the room last night, Wednesday 9/23. All is set up and ready to go today!

You've got a better memory than mine! I'm even more impressed with the display!Remember the airfield scene from Band of Brothers? Those "Germans" are walking around showing the Airborne guys the "Jerry clobber"!

SPLENDID LOOKING C-47 USAAF WW2 CARGO AIRPLANE!
I had a relative, older 1st cousin, who died a couple of months before I was born bailing out of a C-47 during the start of operation "Market Gargen", 17 September 1944. He was a 1st Lt. co-pilot of a C-47 that had #10 US Army paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division on board who were able to bail out before the badly on fire C-47 had to crash land just a few hundred yards into Germany. Alas, the cousin I never met did not survive as his parachute did not open. The pilot who stayed stayed with C-47 to crash land survived to talk about it. #3 of the #5 man C-47 crew survided and #2 did not.
I would like to get this C-47 model airplane made by K&C in honor of my 1st cousin WW2 pilot. What are the measurements? What is the cost?
Gary
Great story mate!
Make sure you don't get ome with invasion stripes as this was an Operation Overlord thing!
Also if you do some research i'm sure you could get the exact numbers painted on it as were on your cousin's plane!
Good luck mate!
