I recently posted a thread asking for information on the Stadden 54mm castings I acquired, and thanks for all the valuable information you all provided about their origin.

I have now decided to show off the finished figures, as I paint them, and so you can all see the range of figures that I have. I hope to do a couple at a time, and one from each side of the conflict, where possible. I think every few weeks you may see more coming this way. I had thought to post this in the "Painting" section, but this area is more appropriate.

First with I have painted a British Officer holding a map which I made from metal foil.

Secondly a French Aide de Comp to which i have added a dispatch in his right hand and belts to hold his word were added using metal floil.

What do you think?

After having a long weekend for ANZAC Day, I've got a couple more Stadden 54mm figures finished and here they are:
stad95.jpg

As you can see, I've got an officer and a rifleman of the 95th Rifles, at ease pose.

The officer has his jacket over his shoulder, but I had to add a twisted wire chord around his neck, and metal sheeting cut for belts to attach his scabbard to the waist belt.

The rifleman came with separate pack and rifle, and by bending and swisting the arms, I have managed to pose him holding his rifle in front of him.

I hope to finish some French Cavalry next... keep a lookout.....

Yo John, nice job mate. Question are these Stadden with round bases signed by Chas, as you know not into 54mm Stadden only 90mm.
Bernard.

Bernard,

No the bases are smooth on the underside, and textured on top, but no signiature like the larger ones....

John

Hi John,

Stadden figures have a certain appeal about them and your painting really highlights their beauty. I always remember the visits made to the Tradition shop in the basement just starring in awe at the number of sprayed castings on offer. You'll just banrkupt yourself at this show...:)
