I have the Aussie version and think it is a brilliant set, the barrel angle was not a real issue for me, but all I did was to get a small piece of black foam [there are lots of loose pieces in both TG and K & C sets] balled it up and shoved it under the breach, which pushes up the rear and therefore lowers the barrel. You do not need a lot and being black it cannot be seen and secondly with it being foam it does no damage. The natural high angle does work well when I have put the gun in tow mode behind a universal carrier.
I have done this with the following as well,
K & C - Battle of the Bulge Drill German SP Gun - nothing wrong with the barrel, but wanted it to be a higher angle in my dio
K & C - Carro Armato M13/40 AK075 Afrika Korps Version and EA059 Aussie Captured Version. The barrel was permanently drooping so I just shoved some black foam under the barrel and into the turret gap, it cannot be seen. I did think of giving the commander some Viagra, but he did not fancy it and I could not get the fuel cap off to put some in the fuel tank!!
