Randy Bond (67PolarBear on the Forum) is visiting family in California this week. Yesterday, Randy and his son, Andy, drove up from Orange County the 30 miles to my house to see my toy soldier collection. After a couple of hours, we then drove the 10 miles to Bob Walker's to see his collection and have dinner together. All in all, a great day in spite of the 103 degree weather we were experiencing. I took a few photos at Bob's which I am attaching here. The first shows (from the left) Randy, Andy, and Bob. The others are taken in the Prussian room.

Wow Mike! Bob's collection never ceases to amaze me!{eek3}{sm4} You wouldn't happen to have any better photos of the ships the tops of which are depicted at the bottom of the last photo?:smile2:

I was rushing out the door to a doctor's appointment when I posted the photos this morning and, in my haste, I transposed Andy and Randys' names. The young man on the left is Andy not Randy. Here are five close-up photos from the large curio. I also took a number of photos of Bob's Ping collection which I will post separately in a new thread.

Louis,

He does have an amazing collection. You must make an effort to come out to California and see it. His 6th Annual Open House will be held on the weekend of November 3rd and 4th in the Bay Area. He has about 20,000 figures artfully displayed.

I could only find one photo from August of last year of the ships you inquired about.
