A tribute to all of the brave Allied forces who stormed these beaches, running straight into Artillery and Direct Fire ! :salute:: :salute:: :salute::

Not happy about the shadow issues, even when using overhead lamps.......

Nice shots!

I always thought that the bunker represented good value.

I argued an appeal a few weeks ago (and was soundly beaten) by Marshall Sweetbaum, an 89 year old veteran of the 29th Infantry (Bloody Bucket) Division, one of the first men ashore on D-Day at Omaha Beach. The man is a brilliant attorney, a legend in the Appellate Community, and a national treasure. I sat with him for two hours before the argument, discussing not just D-Day, but many of his life's experiences. I knew the minute I saw his name as my opponent that I didn't stand a chance (you don't win appeals against living legends) but I didn't care. It was an honor to meet the man, and getting to spend a couple of hours listening to him recount his experiences in WWII was something I will always treasure.

A more than fitting tribute to those men, that in those sands began to forge much of what we are and how we are today! They will always be remembered!
