You've got to smile at this.UK Historian Dan snow had been making a 70TH anniversary docu on Dunkirk when he had an idea.He hired some rigid lifeboats and along with some helpers set off across the channel to rescue some of the thousands of stranded Brits who are trapped in Calais by the ash cloud.He managed to rescue about twenty five people before the French authorities put a stop to his exploits,shame.
Apparently there have been some heated scenes at Dover as thousands of returning Brits grew angry at the red tape delaying their entry to their homeland after the French did all in their power to get them back across the water,it was only after the Police arrived and waved some of the red tape that the crowd were calmed down and didn't simply storm through customs!.
