I turfed out some Osprey books and decided to make a seven years war figure. I rescued an abandoned figure to start off.

Hi John,

I was so taken up with Brad's and your recent work on the 7YW that I decided I had to get in on the action, too.

So a quick read of Christopher Duffy's The Army of Frederick the Great just to understand the main causes and major battles of the war. Wonderful book. He writes very well. Then a very pleasant browse thru of my Blandford and Osprey uniform refs.

I actually have a figure in mind but it appears slightly complex. So I'll leave this as a mystery figure for now as I continue to plod my way thru the sculpting challenges.

I've decided to elevate this figure. So I broke off the legs and added a blob of putty for the torso. Now sculpting the coat skirts, giving nothing away...
