Apologies if this is in the wrong section but I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction? I am looking for a die cast model of an A-10 Thunderbolt and was hoping to get some recommendations from fellow forum members?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jason, I think www.AikensAirplanes.com is (or was) holding a sale on their Franklin Mint aircraft, which included several different A-10's. They are 1/48 scale. Big downside is the price. Franklin Mint is OOP, so the remaining stock has gotten expensive. The site also lists Corgi in a 1/72 scale with several A-10's. -- Al

The only die-cast A-10`s I know of are Franklin Mint`s, and I can tell you they are great! I have 2 of them which I bought about 4 years ago and are very detailed for 1/48 scale. Like Lancer said below, they are certainly getting rarer and therefore more expensive...

Just noticed that Hobby Master also makes a half-dozen 1/72 A-10's, also at Aiken's. -- Al

I have only ONE A-10 from Hobby Master in 1/72 - Diecast and very detailed :salute::

Not sure about the model but I will be looking at the real deal face to Gatling gun this coming Saturday at the Tucson air show!!! Looking forward to seeing the A-10 and the B-1 bomber up close and personal:)...Sammy

Thanks to all for the responses, I have checked out the Franklin Mint ones that have been mentioned, they look great and I can't wait to get one.

Sammy:

I have yet to see a real A-10 up close so please let me know what it is like!

Best,
Jason
