Hi Guys,
Just catching up with a few pieces on the forum and some recent posts….
1. Museum Display
Good on you, Brett for joining up with the Museum and putting on those special dios….Anything that helps open up more eyes to toy soldiers/military miniatures and the fun they provide wins a prize in my book!
2. K&C Aeronautics
As some have stated K&C aircraft come in two basic types….the hand-carved, hand-painted wooden “connoisseur” type….which are produced in very small quantities, usually 5,10 or about 20 at the most. Although mostly kiln-dried mahogany they also contain perspex canopies and some metal fitments.
The more numerous and popular are the “polystone” aircraft models which also contain perspex canopies and quite a bit of white metal components i.e. guns, rockets, aerials and many other accessories such as main wheel and tail wheel assemblies as well as interior cockpit details.
3. “Streets of Hong Kong” Book
Congrates to Kevin, Louis and Larry on their fine new volume on this great series….One small question….As the K&C series is called “Streets of OLD Hong Kong” ….. Why make the heading of the book just “Streets of Hong Kong” ….. Just curious….
4. “Red Tail P51”
Many thanks Mare, (Beaufigher) for posting that terrific print of “Creamer’s Dream” and our new P51….. The Red Tail has been well-received and looks sure to be a winner….Look out for another P51 later in the year.
That’s all for now folks,
Happy Collecting!
