1818. The wars are over and tensions rise as unemployment in Britain does the same. Things feel tense, and at one stagnant battalion the unthinkable has happened. A discouraged veteran soldier has done what no enemy ever succeeded at--he's stolen their king's colour in protest and deserted. The officers and NCO's sally forth in search of the traitor and track him down to a sleepy cottage hideout. They confront him and stealthily reclaim their sacread flag. Unseen behind a shuttered window the culprit is held by a fierce provost. The interrogation will be brutal, and it will uncover the soldier's loyalties to a rebellious group of upstarts, discarded veterans of wars in Portugal and Spain, jobless and hungry, and ready to let their anger be known.
Reclaimed! The mounted officer, who can't hide his enjoyment and amusement, is glad for the the thrill of the chase.
A disgruntled corporal looks out for any rebellious or riotous upstarts.
Cheers,
Ollie
