Today I received the latest addition to my "British Empire" collection and want to share it here.
Upon opening the parcel and examining the figures I was so taken by the quality of this item, that I decided to give this masterpiece it's own thread.
John Firth did another tremendous job on this vignette and I can't really tell how much I appreciate his work, so I better let some photos speak :smile2:
The vignette depicts the scene in 1854, during the Crimean War, when Captain Lewis Nolan delivers the fateful message from Lord Raglan to Lord Lucan to charge the Russian Guns.
Officers on the scene are Major General Lord Cardigan (Commander of the Light Brigade), Captain Charteris of the 92nd Regiment (Lord Lucan's Staff), Lord Lucan (Cavalry Brigade Commander), Colonel Darymple (6th Inniskilling Dragoons) and of course Captain Lewis E. Nolan.
The 54mm kits were obtained from Alexanders Toy Soldiers and the scenic base is custom work by John Firth.
Here now some total views of the vignette.
I will follow up with closer views and shots of the individual figures later tonight.
Hope you like what you see. I know I do :wink2:, can't get my eyes of them ^&grin
